Handwoven White Shoal Lake Michigan Lighthouse 10”W x 22”L
White Shoal Lighthouse is located 20 miles west of Mackinaw Bridge, Michigan. White Shoal stands as the only tower on all the Great Lakes to feature the “candy cane” red and white spiral. Lighthouses project the past time in our history when we had lighthouse keepers that lived and worked tending the lights to keep sailors safe. It wasn’t always an easy life on the isolated lighthouse.
My husband Mark hand wove this lighthouse using thread and pine that he cut into strips, he hand painted the lighthouse. The base is driftwood, the seagull and Rocks are Roku pottery. It is both original and unique and would be a nice addition to your home, cabin or lake home.
